Dubai Falcons Ladies Rugby Club Honorary Chicks
Club Chairperson
The UAE Falcons team is delighted to announce that they have appointed Sarah Adil Shaw as their club chairperson.
Sarah holds dual nationality, British and UAE. She was always attracted to the world of sport and, whilst not a player herself, is keen to assist with promoting the game of rugby to the local community, particularly amongst other Emirati nationals.
Comfortable as a public speaker, great in a public relations role and a keen strategist, Sarah is eager to get involved with the teams and work with both coaches, manager and team captain to help develop rugby in the UAE.
Coaching Team
John Mamea is the fuel that powers the Falcons machine. His inimitable coaching skills have brought the Falcons ladies to great success and he is truly the rooster in the hen pen.
Calm, cool and collected, music maestro, boxing guru, the chicks all love, fear and admire this rugby expert with a difference. With a passion for the game and connections all around the world, John is by far – all girls agree – the best coach in the world!
Andrew Fa’avale is one of the most promising, up and coming forwards coaches in the game. He specialises in scrummaging techniques.
As a player, Andrew represented Auckland in New Zealand through the age groups alongside the likes of current All Black hooker Keven Mealamu, as well as playing senior provincial rugby in New Zealand and Australia.
