Boy it was a hot day! ....That didn't stop the Falcons for putting on a great performance at their own tournament this week-end. Without Ange (gone to get married), De and Kath (gone to make sure that Ange would get married), Shannon (here but not playing so that she can get married)... you would have thought that the Falcons would have crumbled .... but no, the Chicks played some great rugby yet again...
Brand new girls on the pitch, (well done Lisa, Claire and Steph) - Born again players (welcome back Fe!), recovered players (welcome back Alex) and a Paula on fire (well done for getting MOM), the Falcons consolidated their 3rd place in the league behind Abu Dhabi and Hurricanes, both looking firmly established in their positions.
It was a great day for everyone, apart possibly for Captain Fleur and Newbie Steph who, we hope, will recover soon from their fugly injuries. Get better quick girls....
Next on the calendar... Sharjah on the 27th... watch this space....
