Welcome to the home of the Duabi Falcons Ladies Rugby Club

The Falcons are a Dubai based rugby team made up of women of different nationalities, backgrounds and ages. The makeup of the side includes a diverse range of ladies working in various different fields from general managers, cabin crew, personal trainers, fulltime mothers, marketeers and engineers, just to name a few. We even have a head of physical education to keep us to the top of our fitness.

Established in 2004, the Falcons are the most recent addition to the Gulf Ladies Rugby scene but in their short history have carved out a reputation for being one of the most successful sides in the competition. We have a fantastic team spirit, bringing us consistent achievement and unity on the field.

Our results since our humble beginnings speak for themselves:

  • 2004 – Dubai Rugby 7s International Ladies Section; Semi-finalists
  • 2005 – Winner Dubai Rugby 7s Gulf Ladies Section
  • 2006 – Dubai Rugby 7s International Ladies Section; Plate Semi- finalists
  • 2007 – Winner Dubai Rugby 7s Gulf Ladies
  • 2008 - Finalist, Dubai Rugby 7's Gulf Ladies

To make these results even more impressive, 90% of the original team were brand new to rugby. The transient nature of Dubai sees a high turnover of players, so to consistently perform well and gain good results speaks volumes for the culture and ethos of the Falcons. The 2008-09 saw the Falcons finish the Gulf League in 4th position, which was a great success considering 5 of our ladies got married during the season and 5 left Dubai to go back home.

We always welcome new players, whether experienced or not, and every new Falcon will find the team will provide an incredible new social network.
